Groups and Studies
A crucial way we are formed in our faith is in small groups where we study and discuss God’s word together as well as support and encourage each other in our daily lives. Learn more about the groups and studies offered through Flowing Forth UMC.
adult Sunday school
We invite you to join us Sundays at 9 am as we study the Bible. Each lesson stands alone so you don’t have to be there every week but can dive in where and when you can.
Christian Meditation is typically held at alternating times based on the Sunday of the month.
1st and 3rd Sundays: meditation at 8:30 am
2nd and 4th Sundays: meditation at 9:30 am
For any questions or more information, please contact the church office.
Wednesday Morning Men's Bible Study
The Wednesday morning men’s Bible study meets every Wednesday morning from 7-8 a.m. at Harner's Restaurant in North Aurora. We have breakfast and share together our understandings of the Bible. Any Bible version is acceptable. We invite you to join us! Please call Scott McCullagh at 630 779-5067.
Thursday Morning WoMen's Study
Peter, a man of faith and flaws, challenges us to look beyond our current life to the future we have in Christ. Peter describes our true identity as believers and points us to humility and submission to God. Walk through 1 Peter with our Women’s Group in this 9-week session of video-based Bible Study with daily homework. We begin Thursday August 8 at 10am. Please contact Michelle Kazlauski or Lesley Miller to participate.
All members and friends of Flowing Forth UMC who are willing to identify themselves as senior citizens are invited to enjoy “The Maccabeans” fellowship luncheon on the first Saturday of the month at the Select Restaurant located at 29 Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery (in the Boulder Hill market area) just up the slope from IL Rt. 25. Each person orders his/her own meal.
MONTHLY UNITED METHODIST MEN
The United Methodist Men will meet on the first Sunday of each month at 7:30 am. Join us for coffee and donuts, fellowship, planning, devotions and prayer. This give us the opportunity to also attend Adult Sunday school.
